GRASS GIS and CorelDraw

Question:

I am using GRASS GIS but I prefer to draw my maps with CorelDraw. How will I get my vector/raster maps into CorelDraw from GRASS?

Answer:

  • To convert vector maps use: v.out.ascii and then v.out.dxf.
v.out.dxf needs the vector map in GRASS ASCII vector format, therefore you have to convert your map first from the GRASS binary vector format using v.out.ascii.
The resulting DXF-file can be imported directly into CorelDraw.
  • To convert raster maps: use r.out.tiff or another raster export module. The resulting images files can be directly imported in CorelDraw.
