Guidance from OS Geo Board was to aim for a $50k surplus for low attendance option. I think these Early Bird Prices prices achieve that and give us some room for slightly lower attendances (450 3 day delegates and 50 day delegates):

Delegate Fee Full package £350
Delegate Fee per day £120
> increased to £135
Student Delegate Fee Full package except party £240
> include party? Could offer party tickets in return for work. Decision to be taken at later date. Note student ID also needed.
Student Delegate Fee per day £80

Workshops £50 must check that we can do sandwiches and coffee only.
> Offer voucher to canteen. Increase price to £60 to cover. Overnights should be covered by spreadsheet numbers, see: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmwShPAd7pU4dEpIVVhtSVptakwwWm9QNU1Ldy1iZ2c#gid=0

Hackathon £0
Hotel Rooms £140
University Rooms £50

Wed Icebreaker Reception & Dinner £40 check that we can scale down costs
> Drop to £35
Gala night (outside of package) £55
Closing party £35 check that we can scale down costs
>
Drop to £30
> This pricing still gives projected surplus of $70k

> Steven and Claire to work on getting prices in reg. site, and a registration page on the website.

Ian has responded with a +ve:

Yes, I’m happy for you to communicate this. The intention was to effectively deliver an updated version of the presentation that I gave at the Open Source GIS conference last year. A copy of the abstract is attached, the slides I used are in TRIM (link attached). The focus is very much on the use of open source GI in an enterprise, production environment.

As for a bio, is this OK – not sure how much you want:

Ian is Chief Architect at Ordnance Survey, responsible for the overall systems architecture and ensuring that new developments evolve in a joined-up way. He has 20 years’ experience in information systems, first cutting his teeth in applications development, working on a wide variety of Geospatial production systems. Since then he has worked as a consultant across all parts of Ordnance Survey business. He has specialised in Application and Enterprise Architecture, providing technical leadership on significant Ordnance Survey systems re-engineering programmes, as well as direction and consultancy to many other significant OS IT projects.  He has recently been Technical Architect for the UK Location Programme.

I’ll let you have a picture subsequently.

Next call. Are we having a call on Friday? If so I should be able to call in, but via mobile only.

Barry Rowlingson on February 21, 2013:

Who did Steven give the car keys to? Have we got an agenda document?

Ian Edwards on February 22, 2013:

Jo Cook on February 22, 2013:

My problem with driving/chairing is that I have audio only so if people start writing things in the little message window then I feel terribly left out. However, happy to take the lead if necessary. Let's keep it quick though, folks :-)

Ian Edwards on February 22, 2013:

Thanks Jo, I can read out any messages that go into the window... it won't
    help with web links tho'

Jeremy Morley on February 22, 2013:

    Hi all,

Sorry for my quietness. It's half term week here and I've not been sure where I'd be this afternoon. Looks like I'll be around, though connecting from home, so can probably drive. Would that help? I'm not going to be able to do much about pulling the current state of affairs to drive the agenda later. Could someone help with that bit please?

Claire: any news from Shelley? I'll also push folk at work for catering costs for the paper selection meeting.

    Jeremy

Mark Iliffe on February 22, 2013:

Unfortunately I'll be absent from the meeting tonight. Have a good one.

    Best,
