Steven Feldman on August 9, 2013:

Agenda for this afternoon's call.

If you can't make the call please do post an update in the doc on your activity etc.

I think this week's priorities are the things that we need to get ordered:
  1. t-shirts
  2. wrist bands
  3. clipboards
  4. badges
  5. conference team hoodies
  6. signage
  7. AV (marquee and linkup)
  8. staging, power, PA and furniture for marquee

Details of login for people who manage to get lost in webex (and that is a very very easy place to get lost):

1. Go to https://metoffice.webex.com/metoffice/j.php?ED=211332817&UID=0&PW=N…
2. If requested, enter your name and email address.
3. If a password is required, enter the meeting password: met5724foss4g
4. Click "Join".

You may have to search for the conference if it doesn't appear - select unlisted meetings from the right hand side menu, enter the meeting number 848 738 248. Then fill in your details and the pw = met5724foss4g and you are in!

Easy peasy really, don't you love webex? But thanks to Ian E and the Met Office for making it available

Steven Feldman on August 9, 2013:

Antony posted this on last week's call doc, so i have reposted

Antony Scott – Not sure how much of the call I will make this afternoon - Abi also a bit doubtful apparently. In case neither of us are there, for Programme Booklet we are expecting proof back any time (still some LOC pics needed), and we will get the lanyard content together over the weekend.
The venue signage is as per the thread - feedback on the dodgy mockups welcome.

Antony Scott on August 9, 2013:

Hmm, dial in Number not right?

Abi Page on August 9, 2013:

I saw the comments re logos - we also need these for the booklet - can check with Barry H what he has before we request them again?

Barry Rowlingson on August 9, 2013:

I've added a swarm of badges and an OSGeo logo. Removed the F2F panorama. If anyone has any better ideas.

Steven Feldman on August 9, 2013:

Just the fact that it is different to how it was is an improvement. If Jeff comes back with any other logo images or messages we can use those as well or instead

thanks Barry

Jo Cook on August 9, 2013:

Suggested replacement text:

Green heading: OSGeo's Global Conference for Open Source Geospatial Software

I think that should do :-)

Barry Rowlingson on August 9, 2013:

Done. That text is one of the Theme Options in WP lest you need to alter it more.

Ian Edwards on August 9, 2013:

Hi All,

Apologies for my sudden disappearance in today's call. I sent an update
earlier in the day, but it seems it was on the wrong thread (and was only
emailed to Steven an Mark).

I've just updated the minutes with the hackathon and live DVD updates...
copied below:

*Geohack update:*
http://lists.osgeo.org/pipermail/discuss/2013-May/011722.html

*Live DVD info:*

26 Aug 2013 Final ISO sent to printers

(The Live DVD team are on schedule and there'll be plenty of time to get
copies. I have a note somewhere of the people Jo used in the past)

I especially like the "Ask delegates to hand then back if they know they
wont use them" idea, that will hopefully yield quite a few for other events.

Barry Rowlingson on August 14, 2013:

Please don't tweet @ the nerds about the conference show, especially the arrangements. I've just had an email from the agent asking who tweeted Helen about screen size.

If anyone has questions, then either ask me to ask the agents or contact the agent directly (I can give you their email).

Steven Feldman on August 14, 2013:

Sorry that was me. We need to know the screen size that they want, I thought I had copied you in on a mail about that a few days ago
