Comments

Antony Scott on August 16, 2013:

Here's a errata sheet for any changes to the Programme Booklet (other than the programme itself) which didn't make the content, now final.

Barry Rowlingson on August 27, 2013:

If this document is going to go to the public as-is then we should consider whether we need details like 'sick father' in the change list. If its not going as-is then someone has some editing to do.

Abi Page on August 27, 2013:

I think we need to format it by day / time with clear session times as well or it is really difficult to follow - ideally it would be good to collate the information on a version that can just be printed off and avoid the editing.

Barry Rowlingson on August 27, 2013:

Is it Arimin Burger or Armin Burger (as I have seen it)? Do we need errata of the errata?

Agreed with Abi - we need this by day (or days) affected.

Barry Rowlingson on August 29, 2013:

And now in a regular format.

Barry Rowlingson on September 3, 2013:

52.2 OpenLayers3 Showcase is currently in the data base as presented by Eric Lemoine (with an accent on E) together with Eric Lemoine (without an accent on E) co-presenting. I think this has gone into the printed programme such that his name appears twice in the credits for that session and in the index!

I'll fix that in the database but I don't think there's any point pointing out in the errata sheet that Eric Lemoine will not be co-presenting with Eric Lemoine...

Jeremy Morley on September 3, 2013:

Ha, a classic error! (The Lemoine twins, that is)

Barry Rowlingson on September 3, 2013:

If life gives you Lemoines....

Jeremy Morley on September 3, 2013:

Yeah, well I'm not volunteering to aid them.

Antony Scott on September 6, 2013:

I'm in the process of creating a web page for these changes - so any new ones, please add to the end of the page. I'll create new placeholders as I do them.

Barry Rowlingson on September 6, 2013:

Would it be easier if we actually considered the web page as the master? It only needs to be cut n pasted and printed once per day for a daily errata printout sheet (I guess the night before). Does everyone who needs to make errata have web access?

Antony Scott on September 6, 2013:

Good idea, though people might want to still use this page as a jotter before changing the site. And you will need to be notified to update the database too? Anyway these are all on a new website page now, and the Basecamp page annotated accordingly. BTW are there short URLs for the workshops?

Barry Rowlingson on September 6, 2013:

Workshops don't currently have a short URL because there's no simple mapping from workshop ID to URL (W17 is at .../13, for example). I could write a django view that did a match in the title, but it would have to handle paid workshops and free workshops differently... I'll think about it, but all the workshops fit on page and are easy enough to find...

Rollo Home on September 8, 2013:

I'll be posting changes to this page as they come in - another cancellation just today. :-(

Abi Page on September 8, 2013:

Can we look at filling with popular talk repeats in advance, as we discussed,
EG I would suggest asking for Paul Ramsay (session 44) to repeat during session 64 - based on the number of offers for volunteers ;)

I think on the notice board, even if we do print off the new programme, we need to highlight which have changed against the paper copy - can't expect people to sstand there and play spot the difference with the paper programme. Also Addy and I will need this to give a heads up to the session chair.

Steven Feldman on September 8, 2013:

The listing on the web site says
Thur 1914:00Mapping Open Data With Open Source Software: has been cancelled http://2013.foss4g.org/p/96

The link goes to MapMint: An Innovative SDI Authoring Platform Based On FOSS4GGérald Fenoy (GeoLabs) with Naoki Ueda (Cartoworks)

Does someone need to recheck the errata for errata?

Barry Rowlingson on September 8, 2013:

I think 96 and 98 have been transposed... Will fix here, Ant to fix on web errata page?

Antony Scott on September 8, 2013:

Whoops will do tomorrow.

-------- Original message --------

Antony Scott on September 10, 2013:

Changes (96 <=> 98) made on website.

Barry Rowlingson on September 13, 2013:

I think cutting n pasting this into a text doc would be easier than the web page for the printed errata sheet

Antony Scott on September 13, 2013:

Will do Mon.

Antony Scott on September 16, 2013:

Am creating a doc with Programme Changes - assuming that the page at the top of this thread (which is in line with the website page) is up to date?

Matt Walker on September 16, 2013:

We have one last minute workshop change:

W2: Quantum GIS in action moving to Trent B16
W12: PostGIS 3D Workshop moving to Sir Clive Granger Building: B26 E

I've not updated anything yet as I'm in the middle of workshop testing. I'll do the website later.

Antony Scott on September 16, 2013:

OK, added to printed doc and website Programme Changes page, but not workshops schedule.

Antony Scott on September 16, 2013:

OK, added to printed doc and website Programme Changes page, but not workshops schedule. Here is programme changes doc for printing as at 16/09/2013 13.30.

Antony Scott on September 16, 2013:

Actually, looking at the text doc, there seem to be have been changes added inline which haven't been transferred to the website :-( . Will update the website and printed doc later, but please add any more changes at the end of the text doc, not inlineso we can track changes and add new ones to other locations.

Antony Scott on September 16, 2013:

Here is current programme changes doc for printing. Website programme changes updated, but online programme now out of line with changes dated 6/9 in text doc above.

Rollo Home on September 16, 2013:

Ant. I need to make more changes....and will be doing so I suspect until tomorrow (or should we just make the cut of 12pm tonight or something?).

Changes have been made to website programme, and added to the text document at the top of this thread, but no where else (i.e. not the programme changes pages or your print-out pages).

Changes:
/p/112/ "Open Geospatial Data And Services Publication On The Cloud: The INGEOCLOUDS Open Source Approach" Presenter changed from Dimitris Kotzinos to Benoit Baurens.

Rollo Home on September 16, 2013:

Please note: where there is a programme gap, session chairs should not move a following paper forward. Delegates have made plans to attend papers based on the published times - so we need to stick to that timetable and not have ad hoc decisions.

Abi - can this be added to your volunteer debrief list of things? Thanks.

Antony Scott on September 16, 2013:

Rollo, agreed we should have a cut-off - say midday Tuesday - or whatever you think. After this we can make changes on website but not printout. I'll update website and printed doc tomorrow anyway.

Antony Scott on September 17, 2013:

Latest version of programme changes printout. We will probably make this the last.... We need to decide whether to give to everyone or to just have a pile, or even just stick on wall. I say have a pile, ppl can take one if they want.
