Workshops
Via Matt -
There has been a lot of activity on workshops recently mainly around Jo and I contacting workshop organisers to ensure we understand their technical requirements. The majority are using OSGeo-Live DVD / USB or a customised version base on OSGeo-Live. There are a handful that require further discussion which is ongoing.

I've updated the presenter info with general workshop facilities info:
http://2013.foss4g.org/information-for-presenters/#workshops

I posted a reminder about code sprints to the discuss and foss4g lists last night.

Academic Bursaries:
3 outstanding offers, they have been reminded and given a final final deadline of monday. Then they loose their bursary.  Unused cash to transfer to Abi's volunteer army for accom/travel and sort Oli out with a pass for some volunteering/blogging

Hi

I know some of you are away or travelling. Here's an agenda for today's call, feel free to add stuff.

Details of login for people who manage to get lost in webex (and that is a very very easy place to get lost):

1. Go to https://metoffice.webex.com/metoffice/j.php?ED=211332817&UID=0&PW=N…
2. If requested, enter your name and email address.
3. If a password is required, enter the meeting password: met5724foss4g
4. Click "Join".

You may have to search for the conference if it doesn't appear - select unlisted meetings from the right hand side menu, enter the meeting number 848 738 248. Then fill in your details and the pw = met5724foss4g and you are in!

Easy peasy really, don't you love webex? But thanks to Ian E and the Met Office for making it available

Rollo Home on September 3, 2013:

Can I have an update on the Academic bursary position please? is there budget to provide Ollie a bursary? I need to get back to them today ideally (as we're so close to deadline)

Abi Page on September 3, 2013:

Rollo, I have word from Addy that there are 3 bursaries unclaimed.

We decided on the call not to call Ollie's support a bursary, but rather include him as a volunteer. Please remind me what he is asking for - attendance / accomodation?

I am seriously behind on a number of volunteer actions, but working hard to catch up best I can.

Abi

Rollo Home on September 3, 2013:

I'm happy with the PR element - in regards to what we offer I was being guided by this page: http://2013.foss4g.org/registration/academic-bursaries/ but you will need to advise me what is available.
In regard to volunteering, do you actually want him to volunteer for something (and if so, what and when) or is this part of the PR for CASA support with the i-pad wall? I think I could legitimately request his assistance with the set-up of the i-pad wall as a volunteer task.
