Can someone select a twitter archive tool and set up archiving for #foss4g2013 an #foss4g13

There is a list of some tools here http://www.joeyanne.co.uk/2012/09/17/five-free-methods-of-archiving-tweets-from-events-which-are-best/ but perhaps one of us knows of a better way of collecting. My old favourite tweetdocs.org seems to have expired

Thanks F-J

Franz-Josef Behr on September 9, 2013:

Is this what is needed?

Franz-Josef Behr on September 9, 2013:

with some statistics:

Steven Feldman on September 12, 2013:

Cool, now we need to work out what to do with it :)

Steven Feldman on September 23, 2013:

We have over 19000 tweets in the archive! OMG, what the heck do we do with them?Would be great to preserve in some form as part of our legacy, any ideas?

Franz-Josef Behr on September 23, 2013:

Appearently the recording stopped on Saturday (due to limitation in Google's spreadsheet).
I was not yet able to fix it.

Barry Rowlingson on September 23, 2013:

Cheesy wordcloud?

Or sentiment analysis? If other conferences do the same then we could objectively see if it was #bestfoss4gever....... which it was!

Franz-Josef Behr on September 23, 2013:

@Barry: Can you do such evaluations? Do you have time?

Barry Rowlingson on September 23, 2013:

I have done some sentiment analysis in R, and wordclouds are pretty easy too. Not sure about time - have a 9am meeting tomorrow, visitors here all day, PDR document to do for Thursday, sleep to catch up on, glasses that need fixing after a 3 year old took them off my face and broke them, car to fix, dripping tap, dirty house.. etc etc !

Steven Feldman on September 23, 2013:

so we will expect something by Friday then :)

Steven Feldman on September 24, 2013:

yes lot's of spurious stuff as well as real content

I think they want us to pay them for a clean service

Addy Pope on September 24, 2013:

think i can get someone to archive through "Martin Hawksey Tags Explorer" them here for free. Exports to a spreadsheet.

Barry Rowlingson on September 25, 2013:

Wednesday afternoon instead?

This is from a random sample of 8000 tweets, since my PC would fall over trying to wordcloud all quarter of a million.
