Open Source Geospatial Foundation Announces Request for Proposal for Hosting 2007 Conference Contact: Jeff McKenna Email: jmckenna@osgeo.org The Open Source Geospatial Foundation, or OSGeo, today announced that the OSGeo Conference committee has released a request for proposal, or RFP, (available at http://community.osgeo.org/files/osgeo-conference-2007-request-for-proposal.pdf) for the hosting of the 2007 conference. After a very successful FOSS4G 2006 conference in Lausanne Switzerland (http://www.foss4g2006.org/), OSGeo aims for the 2007 conference to be *the* geospatial conference of the year. The RFP solicitation closes Dec 1st, 2006. About OSGeo The Open Source Geospatial Foundation (http://www.osgeo.org/) is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to support and promote the collaborative development of open geospatial technologies and data.
