Subject: d.m misses libdfftw.so.2 - why?

Platform: GNU/Linux/i386
grass obtained from: Mirror of Trento site
grass binary for platform: Downloaded precompiled Binaries
GRASS Version: grass-6.0.cvs_src_snapshot_2005_01_22

Precompiled grass-6.0.cvs_src_snapshot_2005_01_22 demands libdfftw.so.2 on startup.
Easy to work around by installing it but why does GUI want it? Wasn't it once
reported and fixed in 5.7?

GRASS 6.0.cvs:~ > d.m

This is not a d.m problem, but due to missing libraries or other dependencies
for GRASS on the user's system. The error message is misleading and actually
comes out of the startup script I think.
