I got no errors when compiling the sources....all the rest of grass works just
great...but nviz...doesnt....
I Xfree i use a DRI accelerated vid card.
I re-summited this bug because i the resolved one...they told the it was necesary
to get grass from the sources...

This is the solution to my own problem....
If you use an DRI driver in your XFree86...disable the DRI module...because
NVIZ will not work with it...

Now...nviz works great for the binary distro in linux...and with the one i
build my self..!

Good news,

the NVIZ problem should be fixed. Even the hardware acceleration
is supported now. Next release 5.0.0pre2...
