TclTk version:: tcl/tk 8.3
grass downloaded at:: CVS Server, Germany
grass binary for platform:: I compiled the sources myself
grass sources source:: yes, I am using the latest GRASS from CVS
c compiler name:: gcc
I've succesfully compiled GRASS with socket display.
But when I do a d.mon start=x0, I get an error :No socket to connect to for
monitor <x0>.

The socket bug could be fixed (all platforms had been affected).
Please get latest code from CVS.
Rebuild completely:
make distclean
configure
make
make install
The socket driver is default now.
