Subject: v.cutter output in 5.0.1 is not correct
Platform: GNU/Linux/i386
grass obtained from: Trento Italy site
grass binary for platform: Downloaded precompiled Binaries
GRASS Version: 5.0.1
The hypotetical bug is shown in v.cutter. Under some conditions the output between
v.cutter(5.0pre3, the OLD, and compiled locally) and v.cutter(5.0.1, the NEW)
are differents.
The two vector files involved are a rectangular frame which cutting an irregular
polygon and are
managed by those two commands.
OLD: v.cutter -u cut=frame data=buff_temp out-buff_temp2
NEW: v.cutter cut=frame in=buff_temp out=buff_temp2
If the OLD command create the right answer, the NEW one create a polygon which
denote the
lacking of some vertex closing abruptly the polygon.
I have for people involved in the solution of this problem two pdf files with
the two
different outputs. |

Hi,
this problem has been solved in GRASS 5.7 (v.overlay and
v.select).
I'll close this bug report,
