Subject: r.clump seems not to clump reclassed map.

Platform: GNU/Linux/i386
grass obtained from: Mirror of Trento site
grass binary for platform: Compiled from Sources

Please enter error description here (and your name)

When used to clump a reclassed map, r.clump seems to perform clumping on the
map from which the reclassed one was obtained. Note that r.clump works well on
a new map obtained from the reclassed map with r.resample.

Sorry, I forgot to specify that the reclassed map derived from a previously
clumped map.

An example (with spearfish data):

r.clump input=geology output=geology.dump
(422 clumps)
r.reclass input=geology.clump output=geology.clump.rec
> 50 200 = 1
end
(the map geology.clump.rec contains 2 groups of cells with category 1)
r.clump input=geology.clump.rec output=geology.final
(geology.final contains 11 clumps instead of 2)

May be is not possible to clump a reclassed map deriving from a clumped map?
Thanks.

Further information.

I run the previous procedure with GRASS4.3 and it works well. The
geology.final map contains 2 clumps as aspected.
Anything wrong in version 5 ?
Thanks again
