Subject: gis.m: Panning is cumbersum
Platform: GNU/Linux/x86
grass obtained from: CVS
grass binary for platform: Compiled from Sources
GRASS Version: 20050117
Panning in gis.m now requires clicking the "pan" icon for each move. This is
cumbersum. The display should remain in "pan" mode until I "unclick" the pan
button (or right-click as in the old d.zoom -p option).
I suggest the following:
Click on pan icon to activate pan mode
Click and drag to pan
on mouse up, panel is redrawn and reset for next pan
several more pans...
click on pan icon again to deactivate pan mode or right-click on panel to deactivate
pan mode

I changed this in updates today and added a message box to alert the user to
how it works.
