Subject: gis.m: 'bad file format' opening any *.dm/*.dmrc file

Platform: GNU/Linux/x86
grass obtained from: Trento Italy site
grass binary for platform: Compiled from Sources
GRASS Version: cvs 2006.02.11

Any group file I'm trying to open fails in gis.m. They open fine in d.m tough.
A window saying e.g: "Can't open home/john/gis/grass/biurka/caves_utm33_hydro.dm
- bad file format" pops up.

And on the Grass terminal the gropu file path is printed twice, like this:

files /home/john/gis/grass/biurka/u65_10k.dmrc /home/john/gis/grass/biurka/u65_10k.dmrc
Can I ask BTW why there 3 different group file formats dm dmrc grc? How do they
differ? Is it documented?

You'll need to strip out the 'print section' part of old dm/dmrc files to
have them open in gis.m
