Subject: still no socket files

Platform: Linux/Intel
Linux distro:: SuSe
linux cpu:: AMD (K6, ...)
Xwindows version:: Xfree 4.0.x
Xwindows manager:: KDE 2.x
TclTk version:: tcl/tk 8.3
grass downloaded at:: Hannover site
grass binary for platform:: I compiled the sources myself
grass sources source:: yes, I am using the latest GRASS from CVS
c compiler name:: gcc

OK, this is what I did to the CVS sources (Snapshot 03/05/01 with updated
Makefile.in 03/06/01 from CVS tree):

./configure --with-socket
make
make install

It all compiled fine.
When I tried to start an x mon, I got:

Can't bind to socket for monitor <x0>. Already in use?
No socket to connect to for monitor <x0>.
Problem selecting x0. Will try once more
No socket to connect to for monitor <x0>.

Obviously, there are still no socket files in my grass root dir.
What didn't I do right?
(btw., I also tried to force socket compilation and another make install
but it didn't work either.)

Regards, Ben.

The sockets bug is fixed.
Please cvs update GRASS.

A clean recompilation is required:

make distclean
configure
make
make install

The socket driver is default now.

Regards
