Subject: I got GRASS installed in windows know I am lsot
Platform: WindowsNT/2000/XP
grass obtained from: CVS
grass binary for platform: Downloaded precompiled Binaries
GRASS Version: 6.00
I know this inst a bug I downloaded GRASS in windows editions. How do I lauch
the X windows so I can do my GIS stuff..
Please send me to where ever the beginner of UNIX go

In cygwin from the terminal prompt type "startx" to start an xterm. Once in an
xterm try "xeyes" or "xlogo" to check that X11 is running. Make sure x.org
packages are installed. "grass -gui" to start in graphical mode.
Cygwin can be a pain if you are not familiar with UNIX already, maybe try
Radim's experimental GRASS+QGIS software which doesn't need X11?
