Subject: drastic scene setup change after adjusting the 'zexag'

Platform: GNU/Linux/i386
grass obtained from: CVS
grass binary for platform: Compiled from Sources
GRASS Version: 61 cvs 09.08.05

NVIZ

1. view 'eye'
2. change the 'zexag'
3. hover mouse pointer over the 'height' slider
4. display gets automatically refreshed into a coarser res (using the 'Grid Resolution'
propably) and the whole display changes drastically though I didn't tell it to;
I only wanted to change the exageration and I don't want to have to set up the
whole display once more - over and over whenever I change the 'zexag'

This shouldn't happen, should it?

This bug still exists in Grass61 (cvs 17.10.2005) in spite of recent fixes by
Bob Covil.

Still present now? Bob has submitted a modification
but I am not sure if it's related.

The only Bob's change after my last check on 2007.07.23 was

<quote>
Bob Covill: load a transparent surface if vector data or sites data is being
loaded without a surface
</quote>

and it's not related.

The bug still applies.

And it's easy to reproduce, using any data.

Bug fixed by Bob Covill, applied to
- 6.1.CVS-release branch
- 6.2.CVS-release branch
- CVS HEAD (aka 6.3.cvs)

cheers
