Subject: wish: g.config to maintain the GRASS environment variables and settings
grass binary for platform: Compiled from Sources

It would be nice to have a
  g.config
tools to easier maintain the GRASS environment variables and settings.
This could be either done through the VASK interface or something more
sophisticated.

[this is a real wish but also to test the new form:

g.gisenv should do the trick. There's no way to adjust a parent process's
environment, so that's out. Michael is working on a GUI fronend for g.gisenv
for the wxPython GUI.

closing wish as fulfilled due to g.gisenv.
