Subject: d.frame -l (=frame.list) dumps core/does not work

Platform: Linux/Intel
Linux distro: RedHat
linux cpu: Intel (i486, i586, pentium ...)
Xwindows version: Xfree 3.3.6
TclTk version: tcl/tk 8.3
grass downloaded at: CVS Server, Germany
grass binary for platform: I compiled the sources myself
grass sources source: yes, I am using the latest GRASS from CVS

d.frame -l does always error:
ERROR: can not get "list" items

Hi Andreas, Glynn

did you recompile both XDRIVER with lib and d.frame?
There was an update recently. But, Glynn, a small fix
seems to be needed:

d.erase
d.frame -l
ERROR: can not get "list" items
rast:
vect:
site:

d.rast wakedem30
 100%

d.frame -l
rast:wakedem30@markus

Thanks for reporting this,

 Markus

d.erase deletes all pads.

I.e. there aren't any frames following d.erase (D_setup() will create
the "full_screen" frame if there is no current frame).

Apart from fixing frame.list, there's the question of whether d.erase
should re-create some of the pads which it deletes. This relates to
the issue of d.save not reporting the window following d.erase.
