Subject: compilation bug

grass obtained from: Trento Italy site
grass binary for platform: Compiled from Sources
GRASS Version: 5.7

In trying to compile grass57 from sources, it complains of not finding
gdal-config:
checking for gdal-config... no
configure: error: *** couldn't find gdal-config

Gdal is not listed as a pre-requisite But I compiled and installed it just in
case, but the configure script of GRASS 5.7 kept complaining about it.

If the gdal-config script isn't in the path, then you have to use
e.g. --with-gdal=/usr/local/bin/gdal-config.
