Hi,

i am using Red Hat Linux 7, so i can not say definitely what the problem is.
I
suspect that it is some library incompatibility.

If you have the time and knowledge you should compile yourself from the
sources. I remember that there was a debian package for GRASS started, but i
think development has stalled.

HTH,

Andreas

Is this problem solved now?
Did you try to recompile?

Please tell if you need more assistance.

Since I use Debian, I'm certain this isn't a GRASS problem per se, but a
binary or library compatibility problem. GRASS works fine on Debian.
