Subject: missing buttons in GUI

Platform: GNU/Linux/x86
grass obtained from: Trento Italy site
grass binary for platform: Compiled from Sources
GRASS Version: cvs.2006.06.03

Hallo!

I noticed that some module GUIs have "lost" some buttons ;-)
In particular:

- r.reclass.file GUI is missing a button to select the "Ascii file comtaining
reclassification rules"

- the same for r.recode.file

on the other hand, r.recode.file has an unexpected button on "Name of recoded
raster map".

can these small problems be fixed?

thanks!

This is not a gis.m issue. The buttons are generated automatically based on
values in the C code. I'm re-copying this to the developer's list so that the
code maintainers can look at it.

Hi,

the simple problem is:
#% gisprompt: file,file,file

which should be
#% gisprompt: old_file,file,file
or
#% gisprompt: new_file,file,file
repectively.

A couple of scripts are affected:

find . -type f -name "*" -exec grep -l ": file,file,file" {} \;
./gui/tcltk/d.m/script/r.reclass.file
./gui/tcltk/d.m/script/r.recode.file
./gui/tcltk/d.m/script/v.in.asciipoints
./gui/tcltk/gis.m/script/r.reclass.file
./gui/tcltk/gis.m/script/r.recode.file
./gui/tcltk/gis.m/script/v.in.asciipoints

Due to power problems today in IRST I cannot submit fixes.

I didn't realize that these were in the shell scripts. I've fixed this and
committed it to the cvs. When did it change from file, file, file
(file, file, file used to work) and what's the difference between old_file and
new_file?

You guys are enjoying weather almost as warm as ours here. But not quite.
The current temperature at 3pm is 46C/115F.

...and it doesn't matter if it's a "dry heat" or not. It's a HOT heat.

Michael

Old file must exist, new file shouldn't exist unless overwrite is
enabled.

"Enjoying" isn't the term I would use.

Thanks!
I compiled the latest version a couple of minutes ago.
just one question:
in the r.recode.file script GUI, shouldn't the button for "recoded raster
map" be hidden?
in the r.reclass.file GUI it is.

ciao, and "enjoy" the heat! ;-)
hier in padova (not far from trento, but not in the alps) we have "only"
38°C, but the aircon in the office has gone...

ciao!

Giorgio is right (checked against current CVS). In r.reclass.rules,
r.recode.rules and r.recode.file there should be no button for the output
raster. r.reclass.file is OK.
