Subject: can not find start script

Platform: other
grass obtained from: Mirror of Trento site
grass binary for platform: Compiled from Sources

I was able to install grass5, followed the directions and went to start grass,
i typed grass5 in the 
usr/local/grass5 folder and the following text appeared:  grass5: Command not
found.

please help

Try to look if the file actually is there in the directory
use a filebrowser or "ls -l".

Try typing ./grass5
because "." might not be in your $PATH.

If that does not help open the file in an text editor and
check if the shell in the first line exits.
