Please upgrade your Linux installation.
This is not a problem of GRASS, but of missing libtermcap.so.2 (usually in
/lib). Please check with 'locate libtermcap'.
Which version of SuSE do you use? You may try to upgrade libtermcap to version
2 with rpm (I am Red Hat user, please refer to Yast/Yast2 documentation).
Please contact me again if this does not help.

In the latest SuSE distributions the termcap library, which is located in
[a], is not installed by default.
The solution is to go with yast or yast2 in [a] and select the termcap
library for installation.
Yast or yast2 will do it for you and grass will work fine.

Could please someone check if the fix works?
Would like to close this ticket and write a short note for the installation
instructions or somewhere else on the grass web server.

I have a SuSE 7.2 installation and encoutered that problem. That's why I knew
what to do. In any case, after the installation of the termcap library, grass
works as I have already mentioned.
