Do $ echo "select * from largeG" | strace db.select
Notice all the
write(4, "\0\0\0\0", 4) = 4
read(5, "\0\0\0\0", 4) = 4
stuff? I bet it's some non optimized algorithm.
Reminds me of the waiting for mouse input _bug_.
Of course, I have no idea.
Wait. I suppose it's just normally reading the database file. OK,
never mind. Sorry.

Dan,

Please elaborate. There is, or is there not, a problem? Sorry I don't get it
:).

Well as my brain is 1000 kilometers away from Grass until the next
time I am called upon to do
http://jidanni.org/geo/house_numbering/index_en.html related things, I
will have to just trust your judgement.

No problem: I will certainly file fresh bug reports on any problems I
encounter next time I use current Debian sid Grass at that time (6
months from now.) Until then I'd rather take a rest...

Dear All,

Has anybody got an idea what this report might be all about? Dann who reported
this, says he can't rememeber what he meant. Please look below where the
report is quoted; any (wildest) ideas?
