   By selecting the 1st ORDER option, the user may select the order of

Don't say 1st. Say X or something.

   transformation desired: Select order of transformation --> 1st
   Order 2nd Order 3rd Order

   The program will immediately recalculate the RMSE and the number of
   points required.

  Linear affine transformation (1st order transformation)

          x' = ax + by +c
          y' = Ax + Bt +C

   The a,b,c,A,B,C are determined by least squares regression based on
   the control points entered. This transformation applies scaling,
   translation and rotation. It is NOT a general purpose
   rubber-sheeting, nor is it ortho-photo rectification using a DEM,

say what to use for those

   not second order polynomial, etc. It can be used if (1) you have
   geometrically correct images, and (2) the terrain or camera
   distortion effect can be ignored.

there should be a way to rectify with just two points BTW.

PS: there should be a way to on the monitor show point numbers next to points
in
a group/xxx/POINTS file.

I have been swept away to work on other things.
Plus most of these diffs would have to be written by professionals.
All I could do is write those brief alerts (bug reports) during my
encounters with GRASS.
