$ v.to.points help

  -i Interpolate points between line vertices.
    dmax   Maximum distance between points.
           default: 100

Mention what happens if we hit dmax and still haven't hit a vertex --
will it Interpolate anyway? And if so, then when does -i come into
play/needed? Don't tell me the answer, instead add it to the man page.

  -t Do not create attribute table.

I wish every man page would say if they create attribute tables or
not. At least on this one we get a clue.

DESCRIPTION
   v.to.points creates points along input lines.
Parameters:
    type Select type: point, line, boundary, centroid or area
           options: point,line,boundary,centroid,area
           default: point,line,boundary,centroid

Does e.g., "point" make sense? If so, mention the effects of adding it
etc. For all we can tell/guess, type= could be referring to the output
file even.

Dan has a point here; We should add a section to the type parameter that says,
in effect:

type=string[,string,...]
    Type
    Options: point,line,boundary,centroid,area
    Default: point,line,boundary,centroid
The types of input vector geometry to create points from

As near as I can tell, that's what is happening. In Spearfish, I used
v.to.points on the quads vector, changing type= from centroid to boundary.
v.to.points did as expected, creating new points on the two quad centroids
first, then interpolating points all along the boundaries second. I'm not sure
how dmax works when only using type=points or type=centroids, as the module
seems to be designed to create points along linework.

What's the procedure for submitting new documentation?

~ Eric.

Fixed in CVS. Thanks to Eric.
