GRASS Version: 5.02

Hallo I am Ingo Dickel
from Munich (Germany),

i have self compiled the version 5.02 of Grass.
My Linux System is Suse Linux 8.2. My hope was that i can start nviz
with the new support for tcl/tk 8.4. But there was no way.

The error lines from Nviz Version: @(#) 5.0.2 (April 2003)was:

What is the precise tcl/tk version? 8.4.?

rpm -a -q tcl
rpm -a -q tk

Maybe we have to add the header files for togl.c

There is a fix now (the crash was probably not related to tcl)
in src/libes/ogsf/

Please update from CVS and try again (recompile src/libes/ogsf/
 and nviz).

Thanks,

 Markus

But now there is a problem with d.mon !
The error handler was:

Enter name of graphics monitor to start
Enter
"list" for a list of known monitors
Enter
"list -f" for a list with current status
Hit RETURN to return to menu

No such monitor as 'x0'
Problem selecting x0.
Will try once more

I still wondering !

Good luck

Can you try again with a recent snapshot
and file another bug report if d.mon still has problems?

I'm closing this one as the initial nviz problems seems
to be solved.
