Subject: v.type limitations from g.parser interface because of problem with type
flags

Platform: MacOSX
grass obtained from: Binary
grass binary for platform: Downloaded precompiled Binaries
GRASS Version: binaries 2004-26-05

In the autogenerated GUI for v.type, the feature type pairs are a set of check
boxes (i.e., flags for g.parser). However, these are listed in the following
order:
point,line,boundary,centroid,face,kernel

There is no area flag/checkbox
If you need to translate multiple types, it will not work. For example, translating
lines,boundaries and point,centroid shows up as type=point,line,boundary,centroid.
Obviously this won't work. A couple of suggestions for remedying this.

Flags could be in meaningful pairs. e.g., :
point,centroid
line,boundary
boundary,face (is this meaninful?)

Or there could simply be a text box to put in pairs.

[note: it is lib/gis/parser.c, not g.parser]

It was wrong that 'area' appeared in the list.
Fixed in CVS.

The wish for preselection is not possible with the
current GUI/parser interface.
