These tools were originally created using a set of data from Ft. Worth, TX which made up the SECO database. Because this data is not being released with the GRASS system, this directory has been cleaned out significantly, but may have some leftover files relating to the old SECO data. There is a set of data being released with the GRASS spearfish location as part of the general release. The user should beware that these tools are linked to the Informix DBMS, which is proprietary code. These programs are not compiled automatically as part of the default installation process for GRASS, but must be compiled locally.
