This is a map of Northampton, Massachusetts, a fairly large town in the western part of the state. The lab will be focusing on this town and the surrounding area:
In this assignment, you will complete the following activities:
Find a scanned and georeferenced topomap for a portion of the area of interest (Tiff format) and download it (make sure to get the area that includes Skinner park).
Get some 1:5,000 Black & White Digital Orthophoto quads that fall inside the area of interest (get at least one that includes Skinner park).
Download the Massachusetts highway roads vector file for the area.
Extract the data and bring it into QGIS.
Print a copy of your map.
Answer some questions.
