Just a quick note to thank you (and the rest of the team) on a fantastic FOSS4G. I’ve seen the waves of adulation in the twittersphere, but wanted to reach out personally and extend a warm thanks from the Envitia team for a stellar event.

 

We got a lot out of the event on a number of levels. Beyond the bucket loads of contacts and potential leads / collaborators, it did have the effect of raising our profile (and giving something back) to this important community.

 

I also really appreciate the considered and appropriate exposure you granted the sponsors. The mentions and plugs before and during the event were excellent for us. I understand that there may occasionally be an awkwardness between at an OSS community and commercial vendors – I think you set the tone perfectly.

 

As a SME it was at the higher end of our investment levels for such an event, but on reflection very much worth building the business case.

 

Please pass on my thanks to the team.

 

On a personal level – I was proud to be part of such a great event, being held in the UK and you did an awesome job as conference chair!
