Providing delegate profile to sponsors

Posted by Steven Feldman on August 9, 2013

One of the sponsors has requested a delegate profile - list of companies and job descriptions (no names or contacts)

It's easy for me to do and I think quite a reasonable request. What do others think before I send out? I would send to all sponsors

We've had the same request for GeoCom - it's not a 'standard' thing that the AGI supply and we're not 100% sure why (legal or policy?). AGI do provide 'email blasts' as a value add service to the sponsors, but it's not one that they seem to use - so we're thinking of altering that aspect of the deal to supplying the emails, but checking on the legal implication before doing so. Currently our delegates are not asked to opt into a email distribution list.

I believe delegate lists have been provided to sponsors of AGI events previously (not email details).

If it is just companies and job descriptions I don't think there is an issue...

Throw a couple of fictional ones in for a laugh and to keep them on their toes. "Tyrell Corporation" perhaps? "Crimson Permanent Assurance"...
