Workshops and hack
Posted by Ian Edwards on August 22, 2013
Are there any objections to contacting the workshop organisers and asking them if there is anyone else from their organisation who is attending the conference would be available to act as experts on particular technologies in the hackathon?
Some of our hack attendees have told me that they interested in solving challenges using particular technologies (e.g. OpenGeo suite etc). It's useful to have experts in the room to assist.
If this sounds sensible then I'll post a message here that I would like to send out to organisers. Other than Ian Turton we don't yet have anyone on our list that I recognise as an expert. Most of our admin volunteers are not very experienced with the tools.
