More interaction with OGC Board at FOSS4G

Hi all,
Looking through the discussions in discuss list on importance of more engagement of OSGeo in OGC especially for looking into opportunities for getting voting rights in TC for OSGeo, i think we now have an excellent opportunity to engage with OGC at FOSS4G 2013.
The OGC Board is meeting at Nottingham at the same time as FOSS4G 2013 (thanks to Prof. Mike Jackson's efforts) and i strongly suggest we explore idea of a joint meeting in the sidelines of FOSS4G 2013 inviting all OGC Board members. We dont need to provide any free registrations but just dinner passes for the OGC Board members, so there is very little additional costs but the potential benifits to OSGeo is huge. Hopefully this will also be start of a tradition for future FOSS4G meetings and take the OGC-OSGeo MoU to the next level. So we should not miss this unique opportunity.
Also i would suggest Prof Mike Jackson as a keynote speaker. He is one of the very few people with strong both academic and industry background and also excellent speaker.
Will add both this to the agenda and discuss details in our teleconference today.
