Its been a while since we wrote an update for osgeo-discuss. I'm happy to compose one shortly.

Items to include:

Announce the Festival of the Spoken Nerd entertainment (who is will.i.am anyway?)
Academic Bursary News (no names, just status update)
Workshop/Programme Updates
Weekly Team Calls
General news - designer, booklet, programme, merchandise etc all coming along
Anything else? Please add.

Questions:

Should it wait until after the site meeting on Friday?

Do we want to announce current numbers of attendees?

Could you mention the call for volunteers - timing dependent on the 'volunteer' page going live on the web site

We probably want to be posting weekly so no reason to wait for Friday's site visit

I am hesitant to announce the number of delegates registered so far but am open to being persuaded

Volunteers is up- I wouldn't announce the delegate numbers- keep 'em guessing
