Media Partners

Posted by Rollo Home on August 16, 2013

I emailed all our media partners Tues. 6th August about free passes and a potential press conference. I've had a single response, declining the pass and asking about the press conference (Directions Media).

I'm not intending on repeating the email, so I think we can assume that there is no need to provide any form of pass to media partners.

In regard to the press conference, does anyone have any ideas on how/when/why we may do this? I'm assuming some form of web conference call (simple enough - I can host that), but what would it contain? Do we offer it to sponsors as a chance to get their message out?
Also, timing is going to be critical if we're going to get anyone onto the call.

Ideas?
Worth it considering the lack of response?

One less thing to organise

We could offer to issue a daily press release updating media on key events, what's hot and any sponsor announcements

I think a daily press release makes more sense than trying to organise a conference call.

Daily press release during the conference is a good idea. Maybe Abi can advise on finding one volunteer to coordinate this. The academic bursary winners have to write  a blog about the conference as part of their bursary so we can ask them to write daily reports as their blogposts as  well.

this sounds a good idea.
PR would - I'm guessing - go out 'generally' to all our media contacts. Do our Media partners get anything special? I personally think not - we gave them the opportunity to attend....

Abi - if you do identify a volunteer I'm happy to work with them on this.
