No Nathan Woodrow

Posted by Steven Feldman on September 8, 2013

Nathan has had to pull out of attending due to family problems. It's a big shame but he is trying to organise stand ins for his sessions and keynote, Rollo is liaising with him. More news soon hopefully

That's a shame. I also noticed that Jason Davies pulled out (had missed that when it happened). Did he have any specific reason and/or a replacement...?

Suchith Anand on September 9, 2013:

My suggestion is to look at the program and find replacement speakers for the keynote from the available confirmed speakers. There are quite a number of high profile speakers in our program list and ask them if they can do their presentation as a keynote also. It will be a pity to have keynote slots vacant.

If Suchith's suggestion is an option then one of Arnulf's *many*
presentations would be the obvious choice. I think the one on "what
qualifies as open source?" (or similar) is at the end of a session and that
session could just finish a bit earlier?

Steven Feldman on September 9, 2013:

We have Tim Sutton (another QGIS developer) presenting Nathan's Keynote. I am waiting for his bio and pic to update the Keynoters section of the web site.

Jason Davies pulled out just over a week ago because he "had too much else on" I don't think we need to replace him

Claire Gilmour on September 11, 2013:

I have marked Tim Sutton as a presenter on the delegate list.
