Not going to the dogs...

Posted by Jeremy Morley on September 12, 2013

There are no bookings for the greyhounds on Friday as yet!

Do we quietly shuffle this idea away, promote it hard or just leave the idea out there if people want it (but cancel the block booking at the track)?  I'm guessing the third.

I think quietly shuffling away from the idea and cancelling. If no-one is going now, I don't think it's reasonable for them to go over to the other side of Nottingham.

Agreed re quietly shuffling away and cancelling. Idea has clearly not resonated plus I guess the telephone booking has discouraged some.

That means Jeremy and Jo can come for dinner on Friday night

Jeremy Morley on September 12, 2013:

Yes - it's a shame, it's actually a good evening out. But maybe suffers from being too unknown & telephone booking for non-UK; and social stigma / animal rights /etc in the UK.

Jo Cook on September 12, 2013:

People may be waiting to see what their options are for Friday before committing. I don't think we need worry about it too much personally

Jeremy Morley on September 12, 2013:

I agree with Jo - I'll tell the stadium to let the block booking go (as they'll probably want to anyway) but we can leave it there as an idea at least.  Maybe modify the text on the website to remove the references to the block booking?
