Steven, as I read it we're only funding 9 delegate places (not accomm or 'extras') and that these are to be used by the technicians (i.e. people to do a job, not actually see the conference). This looks a good deal to me financially (I'm assuming that the video costs will be significant).

Steven Feldman on May 30, 2013:

@Rollo
I think the techs are all volunteers who are also interested in the event Eclipse pay their flights and accom and we give them entrance and food. It was 9 for 7 streams so they may come back asking for a couple more for 9 streams

I think this is good. I also think that having Eclipse sponsorship looks good- things have moved on with OSGeo and Eclipse after all...

I take it they will need to pay for any extras like entertainments?

Looks fine to me. The videos go up on YouTube in an Eclipse stream do they? Apart from the FOSS4G logo can we make sure that OSGeo/FOSS4G has prime credit for the content?

Barry Rowlingson on May 30, 2013:

Have all presenters already ticked a 'consent' box for this kind of thing?

Steven Feldman on May 30, 2013:

@barry

In the acceptance mails we offered an opt out
We may be video streaming sessions after the conference.  If you have any objections to this, please let me know.

So i think we are ok to video, unless Claire has received objection mails
